Something kicked off when you were promoting the film in the US a few weeks ago, when you supposedly called Brad Pitt a hack (3). What happened there?

No, that's crazy! You know what it was? Oh my god. Not all journalists are really journalists. They ask such stupid questions sometimes, especially the newer ones, and because … these people can't tell if you're joking around, you just can't have any sense of humour, you really can't. There have been a few things I've said jokingly that people made into something that isn't that at all. I'm just never gonna have a sense of humour about this stuff again. You just can't! You just can't! It's mind boggling to me. It really is.


I make it clear. After you say something, you say, 'No I'm joking,' because you can see that all of a sudden they've got right to their fuckin' pens and papers. So you say, 'I'm joking, my gosh.' Because that movie (4) was a great experience. I like Brad, he was great in it, I admire his whole career. It's just crazy. If he ran into someone who tells him, then he's thinking that I said that. Unfuckingbelievable. That's why I hate doing this shit, I really do. Talk shows, this stuff. It's good to get a movie out there, so people become aware of it, but you really have to be … Oh, whatever, it is what it is.

Brad Pitt Surprises Third 'World War Z' Crowd in One Day!

Brad Pitt continues to surprise World War Z audiences around the country with his third appearance in one day on Thursday (June 6) at the AMC River East in Chicago, Ill.

The 49-year-old actor already made appearances at a theater in Philadelphia earlier that evening and in Atlanta in the morning.

After making surprise appearances at sneak previews in Atlanta and Philadelphia earlier in the day, you can't blame Brad Pitt for being a little exhausted.

The Hollywood star turned up at a Chicago screening of World War Z Thursday evening a little out of breath from all the flying but absolutely psyched to introduce his forthcoming zombie apocalypse to an adoring Windy City crowd.

"We're really excited. I hope everyone has done their business and gotten their snacks because once this thing starts, it does not let up," a ponytailed Pitt told the audience amid shouts of "We love you, Brad!"

The 49-year-old actor plays Gerry Lane, an ex–U.N. worker who, in order to save his family and, ultimately, humanity from a spreading zombie epidemic, globe-trots around the world looking for a cure.

To hype the blockbuster, an adrenalized Pitt embarked on yesterday's whirlwind tour of special screenings, which started in the Deep South then took him to the Midwest. But he wasn't done yet. After Chicago, the thesp jetted to Austin, Texas, for his fourth and last screening of the day, where he was joined by Ain't It Cool News guru Harry Knowles.

Given the early positive reviews from critics, his timing couldn't be better. World War Z invades theaters on June 21.

made jaws drop across the globe when she hit the red carpet in a white peplum dress at the Berlin premiere of fiancé Brad Pitt’s new film World War Z. And if you’re still obsessing over the look as much as we are, we have a special treat. The designers behind the now-famous frock are sharing all the details with PEOPLE.

Tamara Ralph and Michael Russo (founders of the London-based brand Ralph & Russo) worked closely with Jolie to create the dress, for which the actress had a very specific request.

“She didn’t want to go for a full-length gown,” explains Ralph. “We wanted something very striking that wasn’t too overdressed, but wasn’t too understated. We wanted something modern, simple and elegant.”

After a string of black ensembles, the bright white midi with gold hardware at the waist seemed like an unexpected choice for the actress, but the designers (who’ve also made headlines for their work on Beyoncé’s World Tour costumes) explain it’s still classic Jolie.

“I don’t think it was a departure. Yes, this dress is a little bit different perhaps to other things, but the overall effect it gives is what she usually achieves on the red carpet,” Russo shares. “She always looks very glamorous and feminine.”

So how did Jolie feel about the final look?

“She loved it,” says Ralph. “She loves going through the design process and giving her feedback. It was nice to see it come to life. It looks exactly like the sketch.”

The pair also acknowledge that despite the actress’s recent double mastectomy, it was business as usual.

“We worked with her long before, and everything was as normal,” Russo says. “Her personality is so lovely, and it really radiates that beauty. Together, with the dress, it makes for an amazing overall image.”

Brad Pitt, action movie star? In two weeks, that's exactly what one of Hollywood's best actors will become, thanks to Paramount Pictures' huge summer tentpole flick World War Z. Based on Max Brooks' exceptional 2006 novel (which, if you haven't yet, you should read immediately), the Marc Forster-directed film finds Pitt playing a United Nations employee on a globe-trotting mission to contain a sudden, catastrophic, hordes-of-infected-baddies pandemic before, you know, the apocalypse sets in and it's game over for the entire world.

In these exclusive new World War Z pics, it's clear that Pitt's ready for battle (see above: that ax in his hand and what appears to be blood splashed on his face), armed with a makeshift bayonet in one and surrounded by several casualties in another.

Can Brad Pitt help mankind overcome legions of supercharged, seemingly unstoppable ghouls? Does World War Z have what it takes to become one of this summer's best thrill rides? All questions will be answered when the film opens nationwide on June 21.

Brad Pitt is at it again.

After surprising fans at World War Z screenings in Chicago, Philadelphia, Atlanta and Austin, Tex., Thursday, Pitt popped up at another screening Friday, making fans go wild in Los Angeles.

"I've been on the road…it's been amazing, but damn it's good to be home," Pitt told the audience, who erupted in applause. "Thanks for coming out. [World War Z] is big, it's bold, it's badass. You've never seen anything like it. It's the most intense thing you'll see all summer. If not, we'll give you your money back."

"Let's get this party started," Pitt said before heading out.

Will L.A. mark the end of Pitt's surprise appearances?

We'll just have to wait and see.

Brad Pitt arrives at Sydney airport but quickly escapes prying eyes

BRAD Pitt has arrived in Sydney ahead of the premiere of his hotly anticipated new action film.

Pitt touched down at Sydney airport around 8.10 this morning on private jet.

Customs officers soon boarded the plane and it was wheeled into a hanger for inspection and where private cars are ready to whisk him away to a hotel in the city.

Having attended the premiere of World War Z with his partner Angelina Jolie last week, Pitt is on our shores for the Australian premiere of the hotly anticipated action movie.

Mystery still surrounds whether Jolie has joined him for the trip up the red carpet at The Star this afternoon.

Brad Pitt Shows Us Once Again Why He is Fabulous and We Are Not
Brad Pitt hasn't forgotten his roots

Remember the stories of Brad Pitt before he was famous? How he use to have odd jobs, and the most tragic one was where he had to dress up like a chicken in order to entice people on the street to actually enter the fast food chain he was working for. Apparently he was so dedicated that he stuck with this job. Most actors seem to come from these humble beginnings, unless their family is in the business somehow, or the wannabe actors have a modelling background, they are rich or became famous on YouTube. In reality the number of stories like Brad Pitt’s is very limited. Most actors have a leg up, but do have to work hard to get where they are at right now, but never ever dressed like a chicken. Either way Brad Pitt showed us, and the celebs who didn’t come from humble beginnings, once again why he is fabulous, and we are not. (He can be this fabulous because at one point he could leave his chicken costume behind, play a little part in Thelma & Louise and after that he was on his way to become the golden boy of Hollywood. Including the substantial paycheck.)

He shows us that money can’t buy you everything, and it can’t make you forget your roots. Brad Pitt didn’t forget his, and gave the waitress of a Japanese restaurant in Berlin a tip of approximately 700$. (Therefore showing the celebs who started with a leg up, that one should never forget the people who bring you food, tidy your rooms, look after your children etc. It also showed the rest of us that we should be generous to people. It doesn’t always have to be with money. We can also be generous with our time or smiles.) After ordering everything on the menu, sushi, salad, yakitori chicken, and miso soup for his children and his wife, he gets to call Angelina his wife, isn’t that crazy? she isn’t really the wife type, he went to pay the bill. The total amount turned out to be around 1000$, Brad apparently decided to just place a random amount of money on the counter, and it turned out to be 700$ more than he was supposed to pay. Pitt didn’t mind, and said that it was OK, and that the waitress could keep the money. He shows us once again why he is fabulous, and super generous, and we are not or at least that might be the way you feel after reading this selfless act. However Brad can be generous, and has the money to tip as generously as he did.

Apart from not forgetting where he came from, and that every waiter, waitress or person dressed up as a chicken would like a nice big tip. The people work hard for it, and why not if you can afford it? Another thing the whole family participated in was taking of their shoes once they had entered the Japanese restaurant. It’s a standard ritual for all guests, but sources were still surprised that the Jolie/Pitt family didn’t feel like they could keep their shoes on. (Seeing how they could think that they aren’t like the rest of the guests.) It shows that in addition to being generous, not forgetting where he came from, the entire family also didn’t like to make a scene, and they decided to comply with the rules of the restaurant. No diva behaviour here. Just showing us all once again why the Jolie/Pitt family is so fabulous and we are not. (Instead of feeling inadequate we could also learn something from it, and remember our own roots, and how people would like to be treated.)
