| Brad Pitt Calls Angelina Jolie’s Surgery Decision “Pretty Damn Sexy” Brad Pitt has been very vocal about his support for fiancée Angelina Jolie’s decision to undergo a preventative double mastectomy in February. And now he’s calling it “pretty damn sexy.” While promoting his new zombie-thriller flick World War Z on the Australian TV program The Project this week, the 49-year-old says he’s so proud of his better half for having the surgery to lower her risk of getting cancer. “It’s heroic. It’s all that. And it’s pretty damn sexy, too,” he shared. Why Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and the Kids are Living in Hawaii for 8 WeeksAs for how she’s feeling, Brad says she’s “as good as gold.” “It’s upwards and onwards for us. It was a really moving time. It’s something that’s going to bring you closer,” says the actor, who has six children with Angie, 38. “We knew it was coming for a while. She is just that example; she’s proven it doesn’t have to be a scary thing. You get your information; make decisions that are best for you and your family. Man, I am just thrilled we don’t have that to worry about.” Brad Pitt on Telling Kids About Angelina Jolie's SurgeryAfter learning she carried the BRCA1 gene, which makes her highly susceptible to contracting breast cancer, Angelina decided to go through with the surgery. “My chances of developing breast cancer have dropped from 87 percent to under 5 percent,” she revealed in a New York Times article on May 14. “I can tell my children that they don’t need to fear they will lose me to breast cancer.” And that’s something Brad couldn’t be happier about. “For me, it just doesn’t work without mom,” he said. “So the fact that I would have to explain that to my kids, that’s just a nightmare. It’s just a huge relief.” Brad Pitt: How Our Kids Made Angelina’s Surgery “An Adventure”Something else he revealed in the interview? His oldest son, Max, 12, has a role in World War Z! “Mad plays one of the zombies who got shot in the head,” Brad laughed, adding, “Really good parenting on my part.” | |

| Brad Pitt is the bearer of bad news in new clip from World War Z June 13, 2013 | Written By: Brad Sturdivant Despite all the drama and controversy surrounding the production of WORLD WAR Z, it looks like Brad Pitt might have a good movie on his hands with this zombie apocalypse thriller. I’m excited to see what we have in store and hopefully, we can get a serious, well thought out tale that has some action in it as well. But is the world every really in jeopardy if we have Brad Pitt on the case? In this new clip from WORLD WAR Z, Brad Pitt shows up at a military base and breaks some really bad news to the soldiers. Basically, every major city is toast and they probably shouldn’t have asked. WORLD WAR Z official synopsis : World War Z revolves around United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Pitt), who traverses the world in a race against time to stop a pandemic that is toppling armies and governments and threatening to decimate humanity itself. Based on the book of the same name by Max Brooks, WORLD WAR Z stars Brad Pitt, Eric West, Matthew Fox, David Morse, James Badge Dale, Mireille Enos and David Andrews. Directed by Marc Forster WORLD WAR Z will hit theaters on June 21st, 2013. http://flix66.com/brad-pitt-bad-news-clip-world-war-z/ | |

| Angelina Jolie Narrowing Choices For Young Lou Zamperini In ‘Unbroken’By MIKE FLEMING JR | Thursday June 13, 2013 @ 1:15pm PDT Jolie signed on last December to make this her second film as director after In The Land Of Blood And Honey. She had campaigned hard for the job against other directors who sparked to Hillenbrand’s book. I spoke to her at the time and she was completely dialed into the story and how she wanted to tell it. Since then, Joel and Ethan Coen rewrote a script that had been penned by Gladiator and Les Miserables co-writer William Nicholson, who rewrote an earlier draft by Richard LaGravanese, The book has now been on The New York Times Bestseller List for two and a half years, which is the fifth-longest a book has stayed there. When she took the job, Jolie called Zamperini “a true hero and a man of immense humanity, faith and courage.” She wasn’t kidding. A troubled and rambunctious Depression era kid, Zamperini found his stride as a track prodigy who was the youngest member of the U.S. team that traveled to Berlin for the 1936 Olympics. He didn’t medal, but turned in such a blazing final lap that Hitler asked to meet him. The expectation was that Zamperini would be a favorite to win a medal in the 1940 Olympics scheduled for Tokyo. Unfortunately, those games were canceled because of WWII. When Zamperini landed in Japan, he was wearing the uniform of an Air Force bombardier. After his aircraft went down in the Pacific during a rescue mission, Zamperini and two other crew mates survived on a raft in the hot sun for 47 days, battling hunger, thirst and sharks. It got worse when they were caught by the Japanese Navy. That started a terrifying term of captivity at the hands of brutal Japanese guards who threatened to behead Zamperini, and who beat him brutally. One sadistic guard in particular exulted in trying to break Zamperini, but he could never do it. And by the time Zamperini returned to Japan to carry the Olympic torch in Nagano in 1998, he’d forgiven his brutal captor–known as The Bird–and even offered to meet him to forgive him in person. The man refused. His story will likely go before the cameras by early fall. | |

| Will Brad Pitt defeat the zombies in 'World War Z'?

The epic creative battles that raged during the making of “World War Z” could probably rival the movie’s own fear factor, if all those behind-the-scenes stories are to be believed. And, really, what’s more terrifying: a worldwide zombie outbreak or having to live through a clash between producers, directors and stars over their artistic/commercial visions? When the movie opens Friday, we just hope it’s a scary good time watching Brad Pitt try to save the world from a bunch of zombies who, at least from the trailers, seem a lot speedier than your average undead pedestrians — and that his hair retains its body and shine throughout the combat. | |

| Zombies from A to ZBrad Pitt and ‘World War Z’ push limits of the undead to new heights By SARA STEWART http://www.nypost.com/video?freewheel=90081&sitesection=nypost&VID=24668340There are slow zombies, and there are fast zombies. But moviegoers may never have seen the likes of the latest breed of the undead, coming at you in “World War Z” on Friday: the swarming zombie. In the Brad Pitt-produced adaptation of Max Brooks’ best selling novel, Pitt plays Gerry, an ex-United Nations investigator and family man who finds his world upended when an epidemic begins turning people into the walking — and running and massing — dead. “When they are not provoked, they are stagnant, slow and wandering,” says the film’s director, Marc Forster (“Quantum of Solace”). “When the feeding frenzy starts, it’s almost like a shark that smells blood. In the moment they sense that there’s something to attack, they will just go for it. It’s the way flocks of birds or fish or ants move together. There is almost a ‘swarm intelligence’ to it.” Jaap Buitendijk Brad Pitt turns from family man to zombie hunter in “World War Z.” Photos: An illustrated evolution of the zombieIt’s the latest — and possibly most terrifying — development in the zombie genre, which has enjoyed a surging renaissance over the past decade. The zombie has never been so front-and-center in the public consciousness, which the director says is no accident. “People are tied to their screens and their monitors and their headphones — in the most basic sense, they do walk around like zombies by not interacting with other human beings,” he says. “Also, at least for me, the world feels like a tenuous place — it feels unstable. It feels like there are big waves of emotion and behavior that are sweeping over us, and it’s happening more and more quickly.” But the idea of zombies as embodiments of our cultural unease is far from new. It dates back to 1932 and the release of a Bela Lugosi film, “White Zombie,” featuring a witch doctor who turns a young woman into a zombie slave. A decade later, we saw a more classic rendition of a zombie: the voodoo-induced state of the island native Carre Four in 1943’s “I Walked With a Zombie.” “The genre started with old Haitian folklore,” says Peter Dendle, author of “The Zombie Movie Encyclopedia,” now out in Vol. 2. “During the US Marine occupation of Haiti, Marines brought back travel accounts — largely made up — of cannibalism and voodoo. Hollywood turned it into an icon of entertainment. “The early years focus on appropriation of female bodies,” Dendle adds. “The voodoo master would be abe to take over a woman’s body and control her like a puppet.” | |
