Hollywood star Brad Pitt has told the Diary that his partner Angelina Jolie is ''doing great'' after a preventative double mastectomy.

The actor brought Pyrmont to a standstill on Sunday afternoon when he walked the red carpet at The Star for the premiere of World War Z.

Pitt, who turns 50 in December, said Jolie, who did not accompany him on his first trip to Australia, is moved by the reaction to Jolie's self-penned New York Times announcement of her life-changing decision and treatment.

Pitt says World War Z 'is badass' at surprise screening
Brad Pitt surprised fans at a screening of World War Z on Friday night, giving them a brief introductory speech about the "badass" film.

The 49-year-old actor, who has been on a worldwide promotional tour for the film, delighted fans by showing up unannounced at a screening of his new movie in Los Angeles.

The actor addressed the audience before the movie began, according to EOnline.com, and said: "I've been on the road ... it's been amazing, but damn it's good to be home.

"Thanks for coming out. (World War Z) is big, it's bold, it's badass. You've never seen anything like it. It's the most intense thing you'll see all summer. If not, we'll give you your money back. Let's get this party started."

The actor has made similar surprise appearances at cinemas in Chicago, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Georgia, and also showed up at a theatre in Austin, Texas, on Thursday.

Time for a little bonding and boating! Brad Pitt, father of six with fiancee Angelina Jolie, enjoyed some quality time with son Pax in Sydney, Australia, on Monday, June 10.

Pitt, 49, and his 9-year-old son were spotted boarding a police boat in Sydney Harbour Pier, which then took them to a yacht named Ghost. Wearing a tan blazer, gray T-shirt and khaki pants, Pitt waved to photographers as he guided Pax, dressed in a black hooded sweatshirt and shorts, to the dock.

The “Fight Club” hunk looked handsome in a beige linen suit with a grey v-neck and designer sunglasses as he strolled off the watercraft, thoroughly enjoying his time in the Land Down Under.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's 9-year-old son remained by his pop's side as they continued their father-son globe-trotting tour while the 49-year-old actor promotes his upcoming zombie-apocalypse thriller World War Z.

The duo arrived as South Korea's Gimpo Airport in Seoul Tuesday, and it looks like the adorable kid brought along some eye-catching carry-on luggage.

Pax toted a large purple teddy bear, which he hid behind as they exited the airport. Now that's an adorable way to stay incognito, yes?

Pax has been enjoying quite a whirlwind time with his dad: Two days earlier, the duo were spotted in Sydney, where the little one got a special ride aboard a police boat.

Sounds like Pax will have lots of fun stories to tell his famous mom when they get back home!

Brad Pitt's Bodyguards Tackle Over-Zealous Fan Down Under


On Monday, the police were called to Brad Pitt's hotel in Sydney, Australia after an over-zealous fan attempted to get too close to the actor and his son.

The 49-year-old actor was leaving the city's InterContinental Hotel with his adopted son Pax, nine, on their way to a cruise around Sydney Harbor when they were approached by a man in the building's underground car park.

The fan - identified as Michael Joseph - was tackled by Pitt's bodyguards and police were called to the scene. Officers issued Joseph with a warning and ordered him to move on.

A police spokeswoman tells the Sydney Daily Telegraph, "It was ascertained that, although being an enclosed public space, the car park was controlled land under the control of the hotel. The man was issued with a move-on order following the incident."

Pitt, who visited Australia to promote his new movie World War Z, went on to enjoy a day out on a yacht with his son, and they flew out of the country on Monday night.

Brad Pitt continues to take the world by storm.

Just hours after arriving at Seoul's Gimpo Airport with son Pax this morning, the World War Z star hit a red carpet event to promote his new action flick in South Korea.

Angelina Jolie's other half looked handsome in dark pants, dark top and long black coat as he waved to fans while speaking from the stage.

Pitt has been on quite the global press tour for the movie. He's already hit premieres in London and Germany and was most recently spotted with his fam down under in Sydney. And let's not forget the surprise visits he made at L.A., Atlanta and New Jersey screenings for the flick.

World War Z will be released in South Korea on June 20 .
