'World War Z' brings Pitt to Austin
Brad Pitt surprised Austin fans Thursday night by showing up for a special early screening of his new zombie apocalypse movie, "World War Z." Pitt is going to theaters around the country to promote the movie, and visited the Regal Westgate Thursday. Pitt stars in "World War Z" as a man who's trying to protect his family -- as well as the world -- from a rising zombie tide.
The star of such films as "Inglourious Basterds" and "Fight Club" slung some t-shirts into the audience before introducing the movie he calls "big, bold, original" and "the most intense thing you're going to see all summer." Pitt hit Chicago, Atlanta and Philadelphia before landing in Austin, his final stop on the whirlwind tour.
The movie is scheduled to open in theaters nationwide June 21.
