HOLLYWOOD arrived in Kilwinning on Sunday as the brother of one of the biggest film stars headed to the town’s Abbey Heritage Tower.

Doug Pitt, who’s older brother Brad commands £15 million a film, is staying at the Blair Estate while he holidays in Scotland, taking in the golf and tourists attractions around Ayrshire.

Guide at the Tower, Jim Miller, said he was surprised when Mr Pitt signed the visitor’s book.

“He was here with a friend and they both seemed to enjoy their tour of the Tower,” said Jim.

“We get a lot of American visitors but it’s not very often that we encounter someone who has such a famous sibling.

“It is a great boost to us.”

Doug, 37, hails from Springfield, Missouri, where he founded the Care to Learn Fund, which helps children with schooling.

He is also involved in charity work with his brother and Brad’s wife, Angelina. The Jolie-Pitt Foundation isa humanitarian fund helping children around the world.

Doug is the latest celebrity to stay at the Blair Estate. Other stars to stay there include Hugh Grant, Stella McCartney and members of the Royal Family.
