- Applebee’s donating portion of Tuesday’s sales to Care to Learn fund
On Tuesday Applebee’s will donate 15 percent of its sales to assist children in need.
On that day, 15 percent of sales from two Applebee’s, on Primrose Street and in Nixa, will donate the portion of the day’s sales to the Care to Learn fund.
Care to Learn is a program that helps children stay in school by helping with health, hunger or hygiene issues experienced by a child.
The fund was formed last year with the help of Springfield entrepreneur Doug Pitt and several contributors, including the Jolie-Pitt Foundation, Jim D. Morris, St. John's and Wal-Mart to name a few. The program assists student attending the Springfield and Nixa school districts.
